The California governor says that he's cutting the pay of every state employee to the federal minimum wage (nearly $2 less than California's minimum wage, which is still paltry). Really – can he do that? I can see this being tied up in court until long after Arnie's gone.

Received disability check today which means that they have decided to approve my extension.*
Yay yay yay!

*Downside: I need to call them to confirm the length of the extension and their phone system has that cute little feature where you navigate through the maze and are then told, “we’re sorry, the maximum number of people are on hold – please try your call again later. bzzzzzzzzz.
